Atlanta Housewife Kandi’s Ex-Fiancé Killed in Strip Club Fight

Ashley “A.J.” Jewell – the ex-fiance of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss – has died after suffering a severe head injury during a fight at an Atlanta strip club.

"It appears he was involved in an altercation in the parking lot and he received a severe blow to the head," Atlanta Police Lt. Keith Meadows told Atlanta TV station WBSTV.

Burruss' rep tells Usmagazine.com: "As has been reported, Ashley Jewell, 34, was killed in Atlanta last night. AJ, as he is known to many and Kandi Burruss of Real House Wives of Atlanta and formerly of platinum recording group Xscape were engaged to be married.  Kandi is devastated as she is also mourning the death of her uncle, Ralph Leslie, and is attending his funeral today.  She has no statements to make at this time and there are no final details on the death of AJ."

Burruss also Twittered: "I could never in a million years imagine this happening. Please pray for A.J.'s children … that's who I'm the most concerned for. I'm about to give my swollen eyes some rest now. I just wanted to say thanks two everyone for their prayers."

Homicide detectives have Fredrick Richardson, who has been charged with voluntary manslaughter, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

On the her hit Bravo show, Burruss, a former member of the ’90s R&B group Xscape, has had numerous fights with her mother, who did not approve of her relationship with Jewell.
