I admit I'm still slow getting into the recent wave of vampire mania and I'm not quite on any Team Jacob or Edward yet. But the soundtrack albums to Twilight, True Blood and now The Vampire Diaries are a different story. I love the mix of exclusive tracks by hip, mostly indie acts, especially on the CW show's upcoming disc (out October 12). Featuring new offerings by Smashing Pumpkins, Gorillaz, Bat For Lashes and Goldfrapp, plus a groovy Placebo cover of Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill," it also features Sky Ferreira's dance-pop ditty "Obsession" – for which I was just handed a clip that features the singer getting busy with her own obsession, Reservoir Dogs actor, Michael Madsen? Uh, ok… Sink your teeth into the clip above!
