Taylor Swift is bringing on the heartbreak!
The 22-year-old country music superstar released her new single, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," during a live video chat with fans August 13. The breakup anthem is one of 16 songs featured on Swift's new album, Red, which will be released worldwide October 22.
"For the last two years, I've been working on an album called Red," Swift says in a statement. "I called it Red because of the tumultuous, crazy adventures in love and loss that it chronicles. In my mind, when you experience love that's fast paced and out of control and mixes infatuation, jealousy, frustration, miscommunication, and all of those lovely emotions. . . in retrospect, it all looks red."
Swift, a six-time Grammy Award winner, is famous for kissing and telling with her music. "Every person I've fallen for, they've all been a song," she told Us Weekly in late 2010. "Guys will say something like, 'Oh, I'd better never make you mad because you'd write something about it.' Or, 'I don't want to be one of those guys.' But I've always lived by the theory that if a guy doesn't want me to write a bad song about him, he won't do bad things. And he shouldn't, you know?"
Swift, whose exes include Joe Jonas, 22, Taylor Lautner, 20, Jake Gyllenhaal, 31, and John Mayer, 34, co-wrote "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" with hitmakers Max Martin and Shellback; the single is available on iTunes and Google Play. She is currently dating Conor Kennedy, 18. "She is pretty head over heels," a source recently told Us. "It's really puppy love right now."
