She may be a movie star, but Kristen Bell can't pass up a good deal when she sees one.
The Hit and Run actress, 32, appeared on Conan August 29, where she giddily opened up about her "frugal" lifestyle with fiance Dax Shepard, 37. "I use a lot of coupons," Bell admitted. "I almost exclusively shop with coupons."
"The best coupon you can get, possibly in the world, is the Bed, Bath & Beyond coupon. And you know it's the best one!" she grinned. "Because it's like 20 percent off, and if you buy a duvet or an air conditioner, you could be saving upwards of $80!"
When host Conan O'Brien, 49, asked about her bargain hunting prowess, the Michigan native admitted she's "been very addicted" to Bed, Bath & Beyond coupons "for quite some time." She gets so excited by the prospect of saving money that she's even stolen coupons from her neighbors.
"I'm not saying I did do it, but I may or not have stolen them out of my neighbors' mailboxes sometimes," she teased. "I wouldn't have done it in the dark of night, but if I'm walking my dogs past and I see it sticking out, I may or may not have grabbed it more than once."
Once Bell arrives at the home goods store with her couples, "I black out," she laughed. "Absolutely! Because you walk in, it's like all the way to the ceiling and it's like a warehouse and it's just dreamy and everything smells like laundry sheets. It's great. It's wonderful!"
When O'Brien pointed out that he often returns home from shopping at Bed, Bath & Beyond with items he "didn't even know I needed," Bell nodded in agreement. "All the stuff at the register, they put that stuff out there for me and me exclusively," she joked. "It's overwhelming."
