Angelina Jolie is slamming false reports claiming her directorial debut involves a rape victim who falls in love with her captor.

The rumors circulated after Jolie, 35, was denied a filming permit in Bosnia because no screenplay was attached to the application, as required by law.

"There are many twists in the plot that address the sensitive nature of the relationship between the main characters, and that will be revealed once the film is released," Jolie said in a statement. "My hope is that people will hold judgment until they have seen the film."

Previously, a production source told UsMagazine.com that Jolie was upset over the inaccurate reports.

"This is not the story in the script," the source told Us. "There are people trying to sabotage the movie."

To settle any confusion, the script was sent to the culture ministry to hopefully reverse the filming permit decision.

"It is highly likely the script will be reviewed within a day or so," a second source told Us, "and all of this will be resolved."

And Jolie wants the Women Victims of War association in Bosnia to know that she plans to direct the film with the utmost sensitivity.

"Obviously, any dramatic interpretation will always fail those who have had a real experience," she said.
