Victoria Justice Dishes on Working With Chelsea Handler, Johnny Knoxville and Jane Levy in Fun Size

In the new movie Fun Size, Victoria Justice plays a high school student who loses her little brother while trick-or-treating. The 19-year-old actress visited Us Weekly‘s New York City studios earlier this year to chat about her role in the film, in theaters Friday, Oct. 26.

“It’s basically basically my first leading role for a film,” Justice explained. “Chelsea Handler plays my mom. It was really cool to work with her. She’s super funny. Johnny Knoxville is also in the movie, and he’s hilarious. He’s one of the most down-to-earth guys I’ve ever met. So cool!”

The movie is directed by Josh Schwartz, who created several hit TV shows including Gossip Girl, The O.C. and Chuck. “It’s his first time directing a film,” Justice revealed.

According to the film’s leading lady, Fun Size also features a “great young adult, up-and-coming cast” that includes Suburgatory‘s Jane Levy, 22, and Project X‘s Thomas Mann, 21. Us caught up with Justice’s costars at the film’s Paramount Studios premiere in L.A. Oct. 25.

“I’m very excited. I love movies — especially the ones I’m in,” Handler quipped to Us. “I can’t get enough of them.”

According to Levy, working on Fun Size “was a blast. A lot of the people became really good friends of mine.”

Justice said she believes the family-friendly flick is “in the realm of a John Hughes film. There are not that many films out there that are a great teen comedy that represent what teens are going through. . .It has some heartwarming moments as well.”

Fun Size is in theaters now.
