Taylor Swift has hit a dry spell with the boys. But she's okay with that. Really!
"I don't have [a boyfriend]," the country singer, 21, insisted Wednesday on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "I keep telling you that."
"You'd know if I had a boyfriend," continued Swift, promoting her new "Wonderstruck" fragrance. The "Speak Now" singer's string of exes include Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, Glee's Cory Monteith, Jake Gyllenhaal and Chord Overstreet.
But right now? "I for real don't have a boyfriend," she told Ellen DeGeneres.
"I sit by myself and I watch Law & Order. I don't have a boyfriend. I don't even have like kind of a boyfriend. I don't have someone that I'm texting that is a guy that someday might be my boyfriend. There's like nothing going on right now."
Quipped DeGeneres: "That's pathetic!"
Countered Swift: "You have to be ok with it. If you're the girl that needs a boyfriend and once she loses that boyfriend needs to replace it with a different boyfriend….It's just this constant stream of boyfriends all the time."
Continued the Grammy winner, who has famously written about her exes and their bitter breaksup in one song after another: "I don't feel like I ever want to be that girl. I want to be the girl that when she falls in love, it's a big deal and it's a rare thing."
