Farrah Fawcett's exclusion from Sunday's "In Memoriam" segment at the Oscars did not go unnoticed by Ryan O'Neal, her longtime love.

While Patrick Swayze, Paul Newman, Ed McMahon, Brittany Murphy and Michael Jackson were named in the sad montage as James Taylor played "In My Life," the late Charlie's Angels actress was left out. (As was well-known actress Bea Arthur.)

A rep for O'Neal tells UsMagazine.com, "We have no comment other than we were disappointed that she was not included."

Fawcett died in June (the same day as Jackson) at age 62 after a long battle with cancer; though mostly known for her TV work, she appeared in many feature films as well.

Is the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences sorry? A rep clarified to E! News, "I would not say that it was an oversight..No matter how carefully and how conscientiously people address who is included, there are people who just simply can't be."

O'Neal, 68, also told RadarOnline that "It was a terrible decision and very hurtful – Farrah was a member of the Academy for over 40 years and we could not believe she did not get a mention…Quite frankly, we were stunned at the decision not to include her in the tribute and I feel that the Academy should be scolded for that, everyone was shocked."
