Solange Knowles just can’t stop gushing about her two-month-old niece, Blue Ivy Carter!
Calling sis Beyonce‘s little one “beautiful,” Solange, 25 — herself the mom of 7-year-old Julez — argues that her bond with her niece is “magnetic.”
“[Being an aunt is] very different to being a mother, but there’s still that sort of love that you can’t even put [into] words to describe,” Solange tells British fashion magazine Rollacoaster‘s spring/summer issue. “It’s really special to have a niece because I have a son, so I get to have a little girl too!”
As Beyonce and hubby Jay-Z navigate first-time parenthood in the months since Blue Ivy’s January 7 birth, Solange makes sure not to overwhelm the new parents.
“I think it’s really important for every mother to find their own way. I think it’s actually the most annoying thing when you’re a new mom and you’re getting so much advice from other mothers,” she reasons. “You really just have to feel it out for yourself.”
Though the new mom is happily taking time off to bond with her little one, Beyonce, 30, hasn’t forgotten about her other love: music.
Earlier this month, it was announced that 16-time Grammy winner will perform her greatest hits during a three-night concert event over Memorial Day Weekend in Atlantic City.
