Not everyone has the talent to make it on American Idol, but now fans can wear clothes inspired by the show.
Kohl’s has partnered with AI to create the exclusive apparel line, Authentic Collection, which will be sold in stores from April through June to coincide with season 11.
“For over a decade American Idol has seamlessly woven fashion and music together to transform lives and create music icons,” David Luner, executive vice president of Idol‘s production company FremantleMedia Enterprises, said in a statement.
“This launch brings together a national retailer and award-winning television show to create a new collection for customers,” Kohl’s chairman, president and chief executive officer Kevin Mansell told WWD, adding that the “partnership makes Kohl’s an immediate consumer destination this spring.”
And while we were hoping for outfits that resembled Jennifer Lopez’s enviable wardrobe, the collection features lots of red, white and blue denim, blazers and separates with a fun rock ‘n’ roll feel.
