Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick's five-year relationship is on the upswing these days as the couple awaits the birth of their second baby, but as the couple told Oprah Winfrey, their bond wasn't always as solid.

"I can't ever take back the things I've said or done to anybody. Making Kourtney cry one, two or a million times [was the most disturbing thing I've done on camera]," Disick, 28, reasoned to Winfrey on Sunday's Oprah's Next Chapter, part two of the Kardashian family's sit down. "I'm not claiming I'm not an a–hole at all, I'm just saying, I definitely have some a–hole tendencies."

Blaming his frequent caught-on-camera outbursts on his own insecurities, Disick says Kardashian, 33, has taught him what true love is.

"When we met, it took a little time — she didn't just say 'Oh, I like you' — and I realized I could actually be happy with somebody and have a best friend and a lover," he told Winfrey. "It was the first time I was able to be comfortable with somebody and think 'Oh my God, I'm so lucky. I love this person.'"

Splitting with Disick for six months just prior to finding out she was expecting their son, Mason, now 2, Kardashian told Winfrey that she took her erratic ex back because she was afraid to raise their son as a single mom. "I was pregnant and couldn't imagine doing it by myself," she admitted. "I do love him and I was wanting to see what he would be like once we had a child."

Now that Disick has changed his ways, the couple maintains their strong bond thanks to weekly couples therapy sessions, which Kardashian says help her to see Disick in a new light. "He's grown so much over the years…I love seeing him as a dad — he's great with Mason — and I'm not saying that we're perfect," the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star revealed. "We go to therapy, which helps us a lot. I think we're always working to better ourselves, which I think a lot of people can do."

"I could go [into the therapy session] despising him, but by the time I leave — even if he's not in there — I feel like I understand him so much more," she told Winfrey.

Disick — who calls himself the "black sheep" of the Kardashian family — appreciates his girlfriend more as the years go on. "She's pretty fantastic and doesn't do much wrong. It would make my life easier if she made mistakes," Disick said. "I probably don't deserve such a good person, but she makes me better, so in that sense I do deserve that."
