Tom Cruise doesn't let loose often, so his Edge of Tomorrow costar Emily Blunt decided to shake things up for the 51-year-old. On Wednesday, May 14, the new mother, 31, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live where she talked about their night out at a London sex club along with pal Matt Damon and her husband John Krasinski.
"It was the disgusting Matt Damon's birthday party. What a loser," she joked of her friend and Adjustment Bureau costar. "John, my husband, wanted to do something crazy for him. I don't know if you've heard of this club called The Box? It's kind of a burlesque sex club. There's weird things that go on and make you cringe. Tom loves Matt, and Tom wanted to come."
When plans changed from a quiet, dignified evening to a wild night of partying, Blunt was the one to break the news to the Top Gun star.
"He thought it was going to be a nice, civilized dinner," she explained. "So I emailed him and was like, 'Tom, change of plan. We're now gonna go to this club called The Box. Just wanted you to know, you may not be comfortable with this. It's kind of like a sex club.' He emailed back and went 'Jesus Christ! Well just don't let me walk out of there alone!' which we didn't."
Now that she's given birth to her first child, daughter Hazel, 3 months, Blunt's sex club days might be behind her. But that didn't stop her from joking about new-age parenting methods.
The late night host was particularly concerned with the way Krasinski holds his daughter to burp her.
"He had her in a weird chokehold," Kimmel exclaimed when talking about visiting the new parents soon after Hazel was born.
"It's the new method! It looks like she's choking, but she's not, I promise," Blunt explained. "You get really good burps out of the kids. We actually say, 'Yeahhh,' when we get a good one. It's really weird."
