Kate Middleton revealed!
England's princess-to-be provoked a mini-scandal of the sartorial kind on Saturday.
Attending the wedding of pals Sarah Louise Stourton and Harry Aubrey-Fletcher with fiance Prince William in Boroughbridge on Saturday, Middleton (she turned 29 on Saturday) flash a surprising bit of skin in her chosen ensemble.
In a pill box hat, Middleton wore a tailored velvet Libelula coat with a plunging v-neck that offered a sneak-peak of a dress with a sheer top. The jacket was held together by a diamond broach; in several pics from the event, Middleton held her hand (adorned with her huge engagement ring) to cover her chest for modesty's sake.
British tabloid News of the World speculated that the future royal went bra-lass for the affair in an article entitled "Did Kate Boob?"
Royal watcher Katie Nicholl tells UsMagazine.com of the look: "Kate doesn't have a stylist, so she is making her own fashion decisions at the moment. The outfit could be considered racy, but it was also beautiful and elegant…The only thing that surprised me was the color – black is not usually worn to weddings, especially by the Royal Family."
It's the first wedding attended by William and his bride-to-be since they announced their own nuptial plans for April 29. Joked William to photographers: "It's not my wedding yet!"
Among the guests at the aristocratic wedding: Prince Harry, their cousin Princess Beatrice (Sarah Ferguson's daughter)…plus William's ex-girlfriend Rose Farquar.
