She may have played a bridesmaid on the big screen, but Ellie Kemper was every bit the bride in NYC on Saturday.
The Bridesmaids star was all smiles in the Big Apple this weekend when she and her Conan writer beau, Michael Koman, tied the knot in front of several family and friends. Kemper wore a gorgeous, form-fitting white gown with a hand-embroidered overlay, diamond jewels and silver heels and wore her hair in a romantic side-slung chignon.
“I went to a great store in St. Louis, and it was the fourth dress I tried on,” the Missouri native told Us Weekly in the weeks leading up to her big day. “I loved it!”
This is the first marriage for The Office actress, 32, and Koman; the couple announced their engagement on Conan O’Brien‘s TBS talk show in December 2011.
Among the guests: Kemper’s The Office costar, Mindy Kaling, and Bridesmaids costar and Saturday Night Live alum, Kristen Wiig, 38, who attended the Roman Catholic ceremony on the arm of her beau, Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti.
Prepping for her own nuptials made Kemper appreciate her role in her and Wiig’s 2011 hit comedy (also starring Maya Rudolph and Melissa McCarthy). “Now I really understand why a movie about this topic was made!” she said while shooting a web series for Nescafe Memento. “Everything I said about being really flexible and loose about everything is not happening.”
