Martha Stewart has another party to plan!
The domestic diva's daughter, Alexis Stewart, just had a baby girl via a surrogate, a source confirms to UsMagazine.com. "Martha is finally a grandmother!"
Just don't call her that. Alexis, 45, recently announced that "Martha is going to be called 'Martha'" during her radio show, Whatever With Alexis & Jennifer. "She seemed to have no problem with it. I was like, 'Do you really want to be 'grandma?' I don't like the term grandma!"
Martha, 69, shared some details about her family's newest addition on Friday's The Martha Stewart Show.
"At 12:58 a.m. on March 8, little baby Jude, my first grandchild, was born. It's very exciting and Alexis and the baby are doing very well," she said.
"They're home in New York in their apartment. I stopped in last night after a business trip and I got to see her when she was about 36 hours old — she is very alert and doesn't cry."
Martha added that the tot is already resembles Alexis. "She is eating well and doing all her natural things well. She's cute and she has Lexie's pouty little mouth."
"Good luck baby Jude and good luck Alexis," she concluded. "You're on to the next phase of your life — motherhood."
