Charlie Sheen is most definitely still winning.
Two and a Half Men premiered without him Monday night, but Comedy Central's Roast of the actor was the #1 highest-rated Roast of all time, pulling in 6.4 million viewers. It also got more than 450,000 mentions on social media sites — more than two times the nearest shows Two and a Half Men and Dancing with the Stars.
"I am done with winning because I have already won," Sheen, 46, said after being torn apart by Seth MacFarlane, Jon Lovitz, Kate Walsh, Mike Tyson, William Shatner and more. "I did porn stars, I did drugs, I had my own TV show and then I did what all the people in America wish they could do: I told my boss to f**k off."
But the father of five also got sentimental during Monday night's Roast. "Then it was gone, in one fiery public flame. And it was only when the smoke cleared, I realized just how lucky I am," he said. "Even after all that, I still have a family that loves me."
Sheen, whose Two and a Half Men character was killed off in Monday night's season premiere, wished his former colleagues well at Sunday's Emmys. "From the bottom of my heart, I wish you nothing but the best for this upcoming season," he said. "We spent eight wonderful years together, and I know you will continue to make great television."
Nearly 28 million viewers tuned in to Two and a Half Men Monday, garnering the highest ratings for the show in the series' history. "I owe you guys big time for showing up last night," Sheen's replacement, Ashton Kutcher, tweeted Tuesday. "Hope you were entertained."
