Bill Clinton had everyone on their feet in Charlotte, North Carolina on Wednesday night during his rousing, nearly hour-long endorsement of Barack Obama's nomination for four more years as U.S. President at the Democratic National Convention.

But while Michelle Obama, his daughter Chelsea Clinton and many other luminaries were on hand to watch and cheer on the address, one V.I.P was conspicuously absent: wife Hillary Clinton.

As it turns out, the former First Lady and current Secretary of State, 64, was 9,963 miles away in East Timor on a diplomatic mission. But an adorable snapshot reveals that Hillary made sure to catch the very big moment during her stay in the Southeast Asian nation– watching Bill's taped speech online in the home of the Timorese ambassador.

Sitting at a desk with her husband on the monitor, a fresh-faced Hillary leans back with a broad smile, and lovingly holds her hands towards her heart. (Typically, Secretaries of State do not attend political conventions.)

Emphasizing Barack Obama's non-partisan, cooperative nature, Bill noted in his speech that Obama appointed several cabinet members who had "suppported Hillary in the [2008 Democratic] primary . . . Heck, he even appointed Hillary!"

After her visit to East Timor, the Secretary of State is set to meet with the Sultan in Brunei, and then will represent President Obama at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in Vladivostok, Russia.
