Some couples bond over movie nights and candlelit dinners at four-star restaurants. Jennifer Lawrence and her boyfriend Nicholas Hoult, however, are just fine with Cheetos and televised beach volleyball, thank you very much.

In the December issue of ELLE magazine, the Hunger Games star, 22, opens up about date nights with Hoult, whom she met on the 2010 set of X Men.

“[My boyfriend] is honestly my best friend, and hopefully I’m his best friend too,” Lawrence tells the mag. “He’s my favorite person to be around and he makes me laugh harder than anybody.”

“We can eat Cheetos and watch beach volleyball and we turn into perverted Homer Simpsons, like, ‘Oh, she’s got a nice ass,'” the Oscar nominee adds. “I never thought we’d have such different opinions on asses.”

It seems Lawrence’s laid-back approach to date nights extends to almost all areas of her life. Despite her major blockbuster paydays, the Silver Linings Playbook actress reveals she still lives with her family.

“Ten million dollars and I’m still living in my parents’ condo,” Lawrence says. “I’ve always lived in a tiny rat-infested apartment in New York, or a little condo in L.A., or a normal house in [her native] Kentucky. I think it would be very bizarre to live in a big mansion by myself.”

Unlike other actresses, the star doesn’t stress about slimming down for roles, either.

“I’m never going to starve myself for a part,” she explains. “I don’t want little girls to be like, ‘Oh, I want to look like Katniss, so I’m going to skip dinner. That’s something I was really conscious of during training [for The Hunger Games], when you’re trying to get your body to look exactly right. I was trying to get my body to look fit and strong — not underfed.”
