For Sarah Jessica Parker, it turns out that keeping mum about her 14-year marriage to Matthew Broderick is actually for the best.
Telling Marie Claire U.K.'s December issue she's "proud" of her union with the Tower Heist actor, 49, Parker reasons that their bond is so strong because they don't sweat the small stuff.
"We don't talk about our marriage a lot, which is probably wise," Parker, 46, tells the magazine. "There are so many other things in our life that take precedence over splitting the atom of our marriage."
Chief among those more important things: The couple's three children — son James Wilkie, 9, and two-year-old twins Marion and Tabitha.
"We have this marvelous family, and our son and daughters are in love with Matthew and I think that's wonderful," the Sex and the City alum says. "There's always a moment where you see him through their eyes and it's really seductive — I think that's great for a marriage."
Despite her busy career and hectic homelife, Parker says that she's perfectly content just taking her relationship one day at a time. Says the actress: "I'm proud that with lives that are complicated, we keep figuring it out."
