Hunter Hayes already told Us in August how touring with Taylor Swift left him "speechless." Now, the 20-year-old country star has something to leave us feeling the same way.
Of his new song, "Rainy Season," off his upcoming Atlantic Records debut CD (out October 11), the singer tells Us: "Rainy Season was a song that took a while to write. I knew what we wanted to say but had no clue how to say it. Finally we let go of our lists of things to say and just started playing and singing this melody and saying the first things to mind about what it's like when someone is giving up on a relationship you believe in so much. It's that critical moment where you're holding on to someone that's all but gone and that sinking feeling you have knowing that. It's an emotional song but I'm ok with those because those were some of my favorite tunes growing up."
