The show must go on…right?
As planned, Bravo will premiere the second season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Monday evening.
The smash installment of the show stars Kyle and Kim Richards, Adrienne Maloof, Camille Grammer, new additions Dana Wilkey and Brandi Glanville — plus returning star Taylor Armstrong. Armstrong, 40, made headlines last month when her estranged husband, Russell, took his own life; the couple's marital troubles were a focal point on the first season.
Immediately after Russell's tragic death, the future of RHOBH — and what Bravo planned to do with already-finished episode — was thrown into doubt.
But the cable network confirmed the Sept. 5 premiere date would stick — with some alterations. "Given that these episodes were filmed months ago, the producers of the show taped a brief interview this week with several of the cast members to introduce the premiere. Re-editing of the episodes is still underway," Frances Berwick, the President of Bravo Media, told Us Weekly in a statement.
The network plans to "raise awareness about suicide prevention," with various PSAs airing during the show, plus additional resources on Bravotv.com.
"Our thoughts continue to be with the Armstrong family during this difficult time," said Berwick.
