Unlike Kate Middleton, who kept her lips firmly sealed about which designer was creating her wedding gown until she walked down the aisle, Kim Kardashian couldn't wait to spill the bridal beans.
"Vera [Wang] has been a close family friend for a long time and we had talked about this moment for years," Kardashian, 30, wrote on her blog Aug 1. "So when it came to picking my wedding dress designer, she was the first person I thought of. No one designs gowns the way she does!"
Not only did the reality superstar announce that she'd be wearing a custom look from famed bridal designer, but she also told Us Weekly that she flew from L.A. to New York and back in one day for a fitting: "It was so worth it!"
And a slew of A-list stars would agree with Kardashian that a Wang original is worth the effort.
The top designer has created gowns for high-profile brides including Ivanka Trump, Chelsea Clinton, Jennifer Lopez and Kim's sister Khloe, who told E! News she wanted Wang, 62, to do Kim's dress: "Just because I love her, and I feel like when you think of wedding, you think of Vera Wang. I think it would be a perfect fit."
