Rep: Susan Boyle Is “Recovering Well”

Susan Boyle is "recovering well" after being admitted to a private clinic in London following her shocking Britain's Got Talent defeat, a rep for judge Simon Cowell says.

Boyle's brothers "are saying they weren't surprised by what happened, due to the speed of everything that happened, with her getting worldwide fame in seconds," Cowell's publicist, Max Clifford, added in an interview with the Associated Press.

Boyle's first rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream" was viewed over 100 million times on YouTube and landed her interviews on Larry King Live and The Oprah Winfrey Show. "Provided she's given a few days and then allowed to be as normal as possible, she should be fine," Clifford continued. "All she wants to do is sing."

Look back at Hollywood's biggest scandals.

Show judge Amanda Holden adds that Boyle has "no underlying health problems." Cowell's rep says Boyle's mental stability "shouldn't be too difficult to get…under control. She's going to have potentially huge album sales, particularly in America. Americans absolutely love her. Everyone wants her on their show singing. That gives her massive potential, and Simon will make sure she has the best songs and the best productions."

It's still unclear if Boyle will be able to participate in the 17-show Britain's Got Talent concert tour (set to begin 12), although organizers announced today that they expect her to be there alongside the other nine finalists. Boyle was beat by a dance team called "Diversity."
