Adios, 2012!
LeAnn Rimes put a difficult year behind her and kicked off 2013 in style when she and hubby Eddie Cibrian headed south of the border for a little fun in the sun. Rocking a teeny printed bikini and aviator sunglasses, the 30-year-old singer/actress showed off her toned body (with sideboob!) — and plenty of love for her 39-year-old spouse.
The controversial couple, who met and fell in love in 2009 when both were still married to other people, couldn’t keep their hands off each other as they frolicked aboard a swanky yacht in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. In between brief bouts of swimming and paddle boarding, they indulged in some hot-and-heavy PDA on deck. They also cozied up to see the sunset and do a little whale-watching. “Whales everywhere yesterday! Such an incredible way to ring in 2013,” Rimes tweeted Jan. 1. “Happy new year everyone.”
No doubt the star is glad to have a fresh start. This last year was a tumultuous one for the musician, thanks to a very public feud with Cibrian’s ex-wife, Brandi Glanville, and a September stint in rehab for anxiety and stress. In December, she opened up about her troubles during an interview with E! News host Giuliana Rancic.
“I’m crying, like uncontrollably,” the Grammy winner explained of her bad days. “Thats when I knew I had to seek help, and so therapy for me has been amazing and it’s good.”
In fact, Rimes said she and her husband — who shares custody of sons Mason, 9, and Jake, 5, with Glanville — are stronger now than ever.
“When you endure those kind of hardships, at the end of the day if you can’t make it through that, you can’t make it,” she told Rancic. “And we’ve made it through a lot…We fought for each other.”
