Reese Witherspoon once said that recording the music for her 2005 film Walk the Line was "the most challenging, horrifying experience of [her] life." But now it seems she's changed her tune.

Seven years after her Oscar-winning turn as country singer June Carter Cash, opposite Joaquin Phoenix's Johnny Cash, the actress may finally be ready to take the stage again, this time as herself.

Sources tell Us Weekly that the 36-year-old star — who gave birth on September 27 to son Tennessee James, her first child with husband Jim Toth — is in talks to record a duet with Canadian crooner Michael Buble.

Witherspoon, who took voice lessons to prep for her Walk the Line role, more than proved her Nashville chops belting out country classics like "Wildwood Flower" and "Jukebox Blues" on the film's soundtrack. But can the mother of three (she has two older kids, Ava, 13, and Deacon, 8, with ex-hubby Ryan Philippe) hold her own against a seasoned singer like Buble?

The world may soon find out!
