The newlywed royals are getting ready to live at Kensington Palace, where William, 28, and brother Prince Harry resided with mom Princess Diana following his parents' split.

"The Duke and Duchess and Cambridge's official London residence will temporarily be a property within Kensington Palace," a St. James Palace rep tells Us Weekly. (Back in November, Us first broke news, via source, of the couple's Kensington plans.)

"Their main home will continue to be the house on Anglesey," where William works as a Royal Air Force pilot, "and their Household Office at St. James's Palace."

Their move date will be in June or July, before or after their planned North American tour, the rep added.

These digs are definitely temporary, however. " A number of other, more long-term, solutions are being considered," the Palace explained.

For the meantime, however, the couple are getting ready to live at Kensington in style.

"The place is already being renovated," a source says of the property, said to be a two-bedroom apartment within Kensington. "It's being brought up to date with careful and tasteful changes. William and Catherine have been working closely with a designer."
