Ali and Roberto Get Married: coming soon to ABC?
The Bachelorette's Ali Fedotowksy and her fiance Roberto Martinez haven't ruled out having a televised wedding, they admitted Thursday on Live! with Regis and Kelly.
"We've talked about it a little bit," Fedotowsky revealed of walking down the aisle for a TV special. "Definitely a possibility."
The 25-year-old former Facebook exec explained, "[It's] not because we want to be on TV again."
She argued that a TV wedding could "be practical for our marriage, our life, our relationship. Weddings are expensive and [Roberto] has a huge family. When I met his mom, she said 700 people will be at it!"
Quipped Kelly Ripa: "Let ABC pay for it!"
"We figure we are in love," Fedotowsky reasoned. "We can invest that [wedding fund] money and invest our whole lives."
Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney were the most recent couple from the franchise to get hitched on the small screen; the pair, who met on The Bachelor's 13th season, tied the knot earlier this year, in a lavish oceanfront ceremony that aired in March.
During their Live! appearance, Fedotowsky and her man also dished on runner-up Chris Lambton, who she sent home before their final date. "I am glad I sort of went through the motions — but at the end with Chris, I had to let him go," Fedotowsky said. "I just had to be with Roberto…I think he'll be okay."
Martinez disagreed: "I don't think so. He took it really bad."
