Some of Oscar night's best style and beauty moments happen when the the show is over and the after parties start, specifically the exclusive Vanity Fair soiree.
This year was no exception, with stars like Taylor Swift, Cameron Diaz and Amanda Seyfried showing up in fun micro-mini dresses with gorgeous hair and makeup looks to match. But one star practically set the carpet on fire with her curve-hugging black lace corset gown, long loose hair and bombshell makeup.
"I wanted to create an old Hollywood glamour look inspired by Sophia Loren and Sofia's gorgeous black dress," celebrity makeup artist Beau Nelson tells UsMagazine.com of Sofia Vergara’s sultry eyes and pale lips.
Since Vergara isn't a fan of wearing grey shadow, Nelson used mostly beige and brown tones for a subtle smoky look. He defined her upper lash line with a black pencil and used CoverGirl Liquiline Blast Eyeliner in Brown Blaze on her lower lashes. To add major length and volume to her lashes, he applied multiple coats of CoverGirl LashBlast Mascara.
Nelson kept Sofia's skin "fresh and dewy," using just a sheer foundation and peach blush. For her lips he applied a pale pink-y beige color.
