Kyle Richards will always have her sister Kim's back — even if that means putting herself in the hot seat.
On Monday's episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the 42-year-old leaped to her sister's defense when Brandi Glanville, 38, accused Kim, 47, of being under the influence during game night at Dana Wilkey's house.
"Last night's episode was tough to see, and I think I was on edge before the evening had begun," Kyle tells Us Weekly exclusively.
"It was filmed during a time when my sister and I were working very hard on mending our relationship," Kyle adds. "It was hard for me to see my sister come under attack."
While Glanville's commentary may have been out of line, Kyle realizes she could have handle the situation differently.
"I love my sister and was feeling very protective of her and I realize that did not bring out the best in me. I am not proud of my behavior," she tells Us. "I am not a mean person, and neither is my sister Kim, which made this all the more difficult to watch."
