Hold off on the champagne toasts, fashionistas: Marc Jacobs and his boyfriend Lorenzo Martone did not get married over the New Year's weekend.
A rep for the famous designer and friend to many stars (like Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and Victoria Beckham) says that Tuesday's blog reports of a private wedding on St. Barth's are "not true."

"Someone had a party for them, but there was no wedding," the rep explains to UsMagazine.com. "They are still engaged."

Photos of the still-happy couple frolicking on the beach hit the blogosphere over the weekend. Jacobs, 46, and Martone, 30, a Brazilian PR executive, became engaged in March 2009 after a year of dating. "I think your strong work is reflected when you're happy in your personal life," Martone has said.
Fashion blog TheCut reported in May that the couple spent about $13 million on a townhouse in Manhattan's West Village — which they're renovating and redesigning with the hopes of being finished sometime this year.
