Kelsey Grammer's first wedding anniversary with his wife Kayte Grammer was February 25, but it was only this weekend that the pair decided to really celebrate their nuptials. On Saturday night at the Little Church of the West in Las Vegas, the actor, 57, and Kayte, 31, renewed their vows, his rep confirms to Us Weekly.
"It was emotional," Greg Smith, wonder of Little Church of the West, tells Us of the ceremony. "He was choked up about the whole time and you can tell they are very much in love and happy. He had tears of joy."
Even though they tied the knot in NYC, the couple knew they wanted to jet to Sin City for some added glitz and glam.
"The inspiration for doing it here was the Anne Margaret and Elvis Presley scene at the end of the movie Viva Las Vegas," Smith explains to Us. "They just said they liked the movie and it is a classic favorite of theirs — Kelsey says he even has a poster from the film."
A vowel-renewal ceremony isn't the first way that the star, who has been married three times before, has recently professed his love to his wife, who is currently pregnant with twins.
In April, he stopped by a Chicago tattoo parlor to get Kayte's name tattooed on his hip. "He was pretty cool about it," Bob Jones, owner of Insight Studios, told the Chicago Sun Times. "He said it was his first tattoo and he did some research and said, 'You guys seemed to be the best place to go.'"
Back in February, the Boss actor/producer and his ex-wife, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Camille Grammer, 43, amicably settled their custody war over their two children, Mason, 10, and Jude, 7. Meanwhile, financial settlements are still pending in their nasty divorce.
