Even though Heidi Klum had to cancel her annual Halloween costume party in NYC due to Hurricane Sandy, there have been plenty of creative celebrity costumes this year.
Kim Kardashian kicked off the festivities early by attending a Midori costume bash on Saturday, Oct. 27 dressed as the blonde mermaid from the 1984 film Splash, starring Daryl Hannah. "Me and my captain," Kardashian, 32, tweeted with a photo of herself and boyfriend Kanye West, 35, who wore a nautical-themed costume.
Jessica Simpson, 31, shared a photo of her family's coordinating Halloween costumes on her website Wednesday, Oct. 31. The Weight Watchers spokesperson flaunted her slim waist in a sexy milkmaid costume, while fiance Eric Johnson styled a Scottish Braveheart getup. Their adorable daughter, Maxwell Drew, 6 months, was dressed up as a chicken.
Katy Perry dressed up as Jane from MTV's cartoon Daria at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery Halloween party Oct. 31. Ex-Teen Wolf star Colton Haynes was also feeling animated that night, as he donned a costume from Disney/Pixar's Finding Nemo. That same evening, Chris Brown, 23, wore full Taliban attire at Greystone Manor in West Hollywood. "Ain't nobody f**king wit my clique," the controversial singer wrote in a Twitter caption.
Other standout costumes of the year included Glee's Chord Overstreet as Brad Pitt, Matthew Morrison and his girlfriend as ex-couple Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears, and Ellen DeGeneres as actress Sofia Vergara. Overstreet, 23, channeled his idol Pitt, 48, by spoofing his new Chanel No. 5 commercial, while Morrison revisited Timberlake's *NSYNC days. DeGeneres, 54, modeled a replica of the sexy Zuhair Murad gown Vergara, 40, wore to the 2012 Emmys.
