Kirstie Alley Wins Raves for “Cheeky” Cha Cha on DWTS Premiere

Look who's dancing!

Dancing With the Stars saved the best routine for last on Monday night's premiere, when 60-year-old actress Kirstie Alley offered a spirited cha cha with Maksim Chmerkovskiy that put her 20-years younger competitors to shame.

"I'm doing this as a challenge to see how far I can push myself physically and still live," Alley — dubbed "G" for "Grandma" by Chmerkovskiy — joked during a taped package prior to her routine. "My biggest challenge is to move quickly. If someone told me to haul ass, it would take two trips."

And move she did.

"I think we're just scratching the surface on what you can do," Bruno Tonioli told Alley after her lively routine, set to the tune of Cee Lo Green's "Forget You." (Watch a clip above) "Your foot placement on the cha cha cha was the best of the night. I like what I see!" Added Len Goodman: "It was fun, it was cheeky, it was entertaining. It had the feel good factor — we all enjoyed it — and you looked like you had fun doing it. Well done."

Alley wasn't the only star who impressed on Monday night's premiere.

Former Girls Next Door star turned married mom Kendra Wilkinson was admittedly a nervous wreck, but delivered a rousing cha cha performance with impressive choreography by Louis van Amstel. "I'm here to turn all those years of club dancing into elegant ballroom dancing. I've got moves for a white girl, let me tell you that," Wilkinson, 25, said prior to her feisty routine.

Alley, Wilkinson and the other stars will learn their fate when DWTS' first elimination episode airs next Tuesday, March 29.
