Tiger Woods Practices Golf at Home; PGA Confirms Rehab Reports

After weeks of speculation, PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem has confirmed that Tiger Woods indeed went to rehab. Until now, no one has verified that the 34-year-old golfer — who infamously cheated on his wife Elin with several women – had sought treatment.

"He got out of rehab last week … and he spent some time with his family, and he has time for this tomorrow and he'll address the details of that tomorrow," Finchem tells ABC News.

Reports have claimed that Woods, 34, was treated for sex addiction at the Pine Grove Behavorial Health and Addiction Services clinic in southern Mississippi, but Finchem, who has talked to the golfer, declined to confirm. He also did not reveal what he and Woods have talked about.

Woods is set to apologize publicly for the first time Friday at 11 a.m. at the PGA's Florida headquarters. Finchem declined to elaborate on what Woods might say.

A purported transcript of Woods' public apology hit the web Thursday, but representatives for the golfer say it is "absolutely false," according to the New York Daily News. In the faux transcript, Woods reveals that he and his wife have agreed to "live apart" and that he will return to golf in April.

On Wednesday, Woods was photographed jogging – his first appearance in three months. On Thursday, he was photographed golfing near his Orlando, Fla., home.
