Report: Kate Middleton’s Phone, Bank Account Hacked

Kate Middleton has been added to the growing list of Jonathan Rees' possible hacking victims. Private investigator Rees is accused of targeting celebrities, politicians and royals on behalf of Rupert Murdoch's News International.

According to The Guardian, Rees hacked into the Duchess' phone when she was still dating Prince William, 28. It is believed that he also accessed the bank accounts of Middleton, 29, and several senior royals.

The newlywed joins several other suspected targets, including British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger and George Michael. Several hacking cases have been confirmed, including those involving Sienna Miller and Kelly Hoppen.

Rees, who worked for the Mirror Group as well as the News of the World, is also accused of using a specialist computer hacker in July 2006 to steal information about MI6 agents who had infiltrated the Provisional IRA.

London police have been investigating the incidents since January; several journalists and editors have been arrested for their connection to the scandal.
