Angelina Jolie Says She’s “Open” to Adopting Child in Haiti

Even CNN's hard-nosed global reporter Christiane Amanpour is curious about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's family.

In an interview with Jolie while she was still in Haiti, Amanpour asked the star if she plans to adopt a child in Haiti.

"I'm always open to children around the world," Jolie replied. "We're that kind of family. Brad and I talk about that."

Not so fast, though: "But that's not what we're focusing on at this time, by any means," she continued. "We're not here for that. We're here to see how we can help protect the children in country and scale up the needs here."

Late Thursday, X17 photographers snapped Jolie's arrival back at LAX following her three-day trip to Haiti. She toured an SOS Villages camp for orphans, a Doctors Without Borders hospital near Port-au-Prince, a makeshift camp in the southern city of Jacmel and a Save the Children relief supply center. During her SOS Villages visit, Haitian kids were starstruck, yelling "Angie! Angie!"

Jolie and Pitt, 46, donated $1 million to Doctors Without Border to provide medical assistance to earthquake survivors.
