After 16 months as a member of the microblogging site, Anger Management's star, 46, shut down his account and posted a final message Thursday. "reach for the stars everyone. dogspeed cadre. c out," Sheen tweeted.

Joining the site in March 2011, Sheen garnered more than 157,000 followers in the two hours since composing his first tweet, which included his catchphrase "#winning." He had nearly eight million followers at the time he deactivated his account Thursday at midnight.

Sheen signed up for the site one week after he was canned from Two and a Half Men as a result of his erratic off-screen behavior.

Frequently taking to Twitter to rant and rave about life with his "goddesses" and other wild exploits, Sheen told Good Morning America in June that his priorities have shifted in the time since his highly-publicized meltdown that began in 2010 and resulted in his Two and a Half Men ouster.

"[I want Comedy Central's Anger Management] to be maybe not my absolute swan song, but do this and then take a break [from acting] for a while to just be a full-time dad," Sheen, who has two daughters with ex-wife Denise Richards, twin sons with Brooke Mueller and an adult daughter, told GMA. "At the end of the day, I think that's the job that matters the most, the job of a father."
