Another question has risen over Mindy McCready's mysterious hospitalization Tuesday: Did she attempt to take her own life?
Her mother tells RadarOnline that the 34-year-old country crooner — who recently declared herself clean on Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew after years of battling drugs — took a near lethal dose of prescription pills to end it all. “Mindy told the 911 people that she absolutely didn’t care if she lost her life," she is quoted as saying.
But a rep for the singer tells UsMagazine.com: "We have not been given information to confirm the reports of an overdose or attempted suicide. It should be noted that the relationship between Mindy and her mother, Gayle, is volatile and unhealthy. They are currently in the midst of a custody battle for the guardianship of Mindy's son."

Her attorney is currently reviewing the singer's medical records.
Meanwhile, her brother Josh is calling all media reports a big misunderstanding. In an e-mail to the Associated Press Tuesday, he said: “She is fine and back at home with my mother. It was by far over a huge exaggeration."
McCready has been linked to suicide reports before: In 2008, she was treated for wounds to her wrists. The same year, the singer, who has claimed once to have had a longterm affair with Yankee star Roger Clemens, spent 30 days behind bars for violating probation on a 2004 drug charge and later entered rehab.
