A source close to Tork 70, says the the grieving members of the rock group first created for a TV show are "genuinely shocked" by Jones' fatal heart attack. "They thought he was in good health . . . He was such a larger than life figure."

Indeed, speaking on The Today Show Thursday, Dolenz admitted, "It came as a pretty big shocker – right out of the blue . . .You know, he was the last one that I thought would [go first] . . . the youngest one of us."

And "Daydream Believer" singer Jones, who is survived by wife Jessica and four daughters from previous marriages, wasn't a tortured artist, Tork himself told USA Today.

"I know Davy was very happy to be a part of all of this. . .He wanted nothing more than to be an entertainer. And to help people enjoy time."
