It looks like there's no need for Katy Perry to kiss any more girls!
The singer, 25, says she found her "teammate" in new fiance Russell Brand.
"I'm excited to find a partner who can just be my teammate," she tells the February issue (on newsstands Jan. 12) of Glamour magazine.
She adds: "When I find a partner who is my teammate… I’m not going to play by any rules, I’m just going to go with my heart. Why wait? I just wrote a song [that goes], 'They say it’s hard to meet your match, gotta find my other half so we can make a perfect shape.'"
The pair — who have been dating since September 2009 — became betrothed on New Year's Eve while on vacation in India, UsMagazine.com first reported. Brand even confirmed the engagement to the Britain Sun, texting, "It's true. Much love."
Perry recounts to Glamour how she first met the comedian when he was filming the flick, Get Him to the Greek.
"I did a cameo with him," she says. "My scene called for me to make out with him. And on the way down the stairs after the scene, I was hopping like a bunny. I hop like a bunny when I’m happy — I get a bit childlike."
After less than five months of dating, she says she has found the man that fits her ideals.
"There’s got to be respect," she says. "For me, that’s hard because it’s easy for me to steamroll guys. I need a man who tells me the party’s over, that it’s time to go home, because [we] have to work in the morning."
Still, the "I Kissed a Girl" songstress says she has a backup plan.
"I have a soft spot for women — I’m not afraid of it," she admits. "Some women walk into the room, and they’re so beautiful and you’re like, ‘I wanna smell you,’ you know? I have certain girlfriends who I just think are the most angelic, beautiful creatures. And if any of my boyfriends ever fail me, I’ll turn to them!"
