Hair ye, hair ye: Harry Potter star Emma Watson loves her new pixie cut.

"Oh my God, it was the most liberating thing!" she tells EW.com. "The stylist just grabbed the back of my hair and took a whole ponytail of hair out. It felt amazing. I love it."

Watson, 20, has had the same shoulder-length 'do for the past 10 years as she played Hermione in the hugely popular Potter film series.

"I missed all that experimentation that most teenagers go through," she says. "I've wanted to do this since I was about 16, so as soon as I had the chance I was like, ‘Right. This is it.’”

The chic cut was created by New York stylist Rodney Cutler of Cutler Salon.

After debuting the look, she took to her Twitter site to tell fans she loved it and it felt "incredible."
