Dolly Parton is an open book!

In an interview with ABC's Nightline Monday Nov. 26, the 66-year-old country music singer — whose new memoir, Dream More, hits shelves Tuesday — dispelled rumors that she's gay.

Although she's been married to her husband, Carl Dean, for 46 years, Parton, 66, has been romantically (and incorrectly) linked to her childhood best friend, Judy Ogly.

The music legend explained that she even bonded with Oprah Winfrey over the false rumors.

"Like Gayle [King], her friend, Judy, my friend, they just think that you just can't be that close to somebody," Parton explained on Nightline. (Winfrey's friendship with King has also been the subject of ongoing gay rumors.) "Judy and I have been best friends since we were like in the third and fourth grade . . . We still just have a great friendship and relationship and I love her as much as I love anybody in the whole world, but we're not romantically involved."

Parton, a proud supporter of LGBT rights, voiced her support for gay marriage in 2009. "Sure, why can't they get married? They should suffer like the rest of us do," the singer told CNN show host Joy Behar.

She has also been the subject of other romantic rumors. "I've been accused of being involved with every man I'm ever seen with or worked with," she said. "Maybe I have, maybe I ain't. I never tell if I have. But you know people always saying that."
