Duchess Kate is back on home turf.
On Saturday, Kate Middleton (sans husband Prince William, on duty at home in Anglesey, Wales) joined her sister Pippa and parents Carole and Michael Middleton in Oxfordshire, England.
This time, one of the world’s most famous brides — and bridesmaids! — were guests at the wedding of family friend Thierry Kelaart and Patrick Heathcote-Amory, with Kate’s father even walking the bride down the aisle. For the socialite wedding, Kate, 30, looked prim and pretty in a pale blue, long-sleeved, knee-length dress, customary fascinator and her nude LK Bennett heels. Her sister, 28, went for a beige-toned dress, jacket and fascinator.
It was the Duchess’ first public appearance since she and William, 30, returned late last month from a grueling royal tour of Southeast Asia on behalf of Queen Elizabeth — made even more taxing, thanks to the infamous topless photos of Kate that emerge on French, Italian and Dutch magazines.
Masking her pain from view, Middleton has been turning to her knight in shining armor to get over the humiliating scandal. “William does all he can to make sure she is OK,” a royal insider told Us. And in November, the pair will get some much-needed R&R with personal holiday, another royal source says. “They are planning to go somewhere warm . . . Private resorts in the Caribbean and Bora Bora are on their list.”
