Natalie Portman and husband Benjamin Millepied may be spending Wednesday observing the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur. But on Tuesday, the happy mom — whose newly blonde hair made headlines this past weekend — hit a playground in Los Angeles with Aleph, her adorable 15-month-old son with Frenchman Millepied, 35.
With her lightened locks in a loose ponytail, the Oscar-winning actress, 31, wore jean shorts, a simple white t-shirt, sunglasses as sneakers as she pushed her adorable redheaded boy on a swing, helped him walk a few steps on a mini-bridge and more. (More pics at X17.)
Portman, whose new hair is for an upcoming film role, was all smiles with Aleph, who wore a white cap to fend off the sun’s rays.
Of her blonde hair, Portman told the Hollywood Reporter: “My mom says I’m like a different person!”
“Natalie makes a beautiful blonde!” her colorist, Tracy Cunningham, told Us Weekly. “She needed to make the change for an upcoming movie role, and using Redken’s Blonde Dimensions we achieved a gorgeous, multi-dimensional golden blonde.”
The Black Swan actress — who wed Millepied in Big Sur, Calif. in a traditional Jewish ceremony in August — has relished her time off from acting. “She has this glow about her these days,” a source told Us. “There’s been a change in her since the little man arrived. She and Benjamin are so content.”
