Call her Liz Lohan.

Lifetime released new stills on Thursday of Lindsay Lohan‘s transformation into Elizabeth Taylor from the network’s upcoming biopic, Liz and Dick. Despite having a rough past year (and even past week), the 26-year-old actress seems to be taking her first acting project since 2009 very seriously.

In one of the movie shots, Lohan channels the late film icon in a yellow dress and flowers in her hair while holding husband Richard Burton (Grant Bowler) on her wedding day in 1964. The couple divorced in 1974 and remarried in 1975, only to divorce again in 1976.

Another scene shows the Mean Girls star dressed up as Taylor’s classic role as Cleopatra, from the 1963 epic film about the Queen of Egypt and her romance with Marc Antony. (Taylor and Burton met and fell in love on the set of the film while they were both married to other people.) Lohan styles a black cropped, wig, heavy eye makeup and flowy gold dress in the scene.

Portraying Taylor later in her life — around the mid-1980s — Lohan wears a short black wig, large sunglasses and pearl necklace while hiding from paparazzi in another photo.

Earlier this week, Lohan made headlines after she was implicated in a jewelry theft case in Los Angeles of more than $100,000 worth of items. On Tuesday, however, the D.A. rejected the the case due to insufficient evidence.

Lohan hopes to resurrect her career with her role in Liz and Dick. “I have always admired and had enormous respect for Elizabeth Taylor,” Lohan said in a statement to Us Weekly in April. “She was not only an incredible actress but an amazing woman as well. I am very honored to have been asked to play this role.”

Taylor died at age 79 in March 2011.
