TV fans, meet the sexy men and women of Firehouse 51!
Law & Order executive producer Dick Wolf is at it again this fall, premiering the firefighter drama Chicago Fire Wednesday on NBC, and as guest star Shiri Appleby tells Us Weekly, the series will quickly heat up.
Costarring Taylor Kinney and Jesse Spencer, Chicago Fire delves into the personal and professional lives of the firefighters, paramedics and other rescue personnel at an Illinois firehouse as they struggle to pick up the pieces in the wake of a colleague’s shocking death.
“Chicago Fire is a Dick Wolf show, so it definitely gets into the procedural element, but what’s unique for one of his shows is that it really gets into the personal lives of these people and you start to feel for them,” Appleby — who begins an arc as Clarice, the ex-girlfriend of paramedic Leslie Shay starting October 31 — explains of the Firehouse 51 gang, which includes Lt. Kelly Severide (Kinney), Lt. Matthew Casey (Spencer) and Peter Mills (Charlie Barnett).
Though many of her scenes are with Shay (Lauren German) and Chicago Fire‘s paramedics, Appleby hints to Us Weekly that the deep-seeded tension between Severide and Casey will be worth watching. An added bonus? Both of the men can’t help but hang out shirtless while at the firehouse. “They both take their shirts off, so it’s something that you might enjoy watching,” teases Appleby, whose Chicago Fire stint reunites her with her Dating Rules for My Future Self costar Kinney.
