Emily Maynard may have kicked Chris Bukowski to the curb earlier this year on The Bachelorette, but that doesn't mean Bukowski has sworn Jef Holm's fiancee off for good. In fact, he can't stop thinking about her!
"When Emily sent me home, it was probably one of the worst things I've ever experienced. When you feel something so right, it's heartbreaking," Bukowski admitted on Monday's Bachelor Pad, struggling to overcome his feelings during a date with new love interest Sarah Newlon. "Part of me is still hanging on to what I had with Emily on the past season of the Bachelorette."
Dumped by Maynard, 28, on The Bachelorette's July 2 episode two weeks before the finale, Bukowski rushed right into the Bachelor Pad mansion following their split, and romanced fellow contestant Jamie Otis before falling hard for Newlon.
"I'm still trying to find out how long it takes for a broken heart to heal," Bukowski admitted after he and Newlon won the show's Spelling Bee challenge and were awarded a romantic overnight date. "I didn't expect to meet a girl like Sarah. . . [but] I'm not sure I'm ready to take this relationship to the next level."
Luckily for Bukowski, Newlon was willing to let him discuss his feelings about his breakup from Maynard openly. "There's so many more sides to Chris [viewers don't see]," she argued of Bukowski, who made it to the next round on Bachelor Pad while lovebirds Kalon McMahon and Lindzi Cox were eliminated. "He really is an amazing guy."
Bukowsi's admission comes on the heels of Maynard cheating on her fiancee of three months Holm, 28. The new Us Weekly has shocking details of Maynard's racy texts to another man — messages that Holm discovered during a family vacation to South Carolina August 19.
"For this to happen so soon, it's shocking," says a source of Maynard and Holm, who told his fiancee to "pack [her] s–t and get the f–k out" of their vacation home. "I can tell you that it's all 100% true. I was there and I heard the fight and watched the whole thing go down, Emily leaving and everything," Jef's brother, Mike Holm, told Us after their blowup. "I love my brother very much and, like the rest of our family, I just want him to be happy."
