Party boy Charlie Sheen's got a surprising new hobby: philanthropy.
The Anger Management actor has pledged at least $1 million to the United Service Organization to help them fund a Traumatic Brain Injury center for injured soldiers — a center which he'll have the right to name.
Sheen, 46, says his final donation will amount to 1 percent of profits from his new FX sitcom, but that he'll give no less than a million to the organization.
"It's an honor for me to be able to give back to these men and women of the military who have done so much for all of us," Sheen said in a statement. "They put their lives on the line for us every day, and I'm just happy that my work on Anger Management can bring a little bit of relief to the troops and their families."
Sheen — who recently made headlines for abandoning his 7 million-plus followers when he quit Twitter earlier this week — discussed his decision to donate to the USO during a Monday appearance on the Tonight Show.
Upon hearing that the Bethesda, Maryland-based USO facility would bear the former Two and a Half Men star's name, Jay Leno joked he's not so sure that's the best way to go about branding the medical center.
"See, I'm not sure, if I'm injured, I'd want to go to the Charlie Sheen Traumatic Brain Injury Center," Leno admitted. "I might come out worse than I went in."
"But I'll be there to walk you through it," Sheen assured his host.
