When it comes to a high-profile mane like Duchess Kate's, it's no surprise that she only trusts her longtime pros Richard Ward and James Pryce of the Richard Ward Hair and Metrospa. Located in London's stylish Chelsea neighborhood, Kate's April 29th wedding day really put the salon on the map — in fact, it's where the 29-year-old (plus Pippa and mom Carol) have been going for the past eight years.

Us Weekly sat down with Ward to grab some insider scoop on what goes into creating Kate's gorgeous blowout, and how he keeps her strands healthy.

"Both Kate and Pippa have amazing hair naturally," Ward tells Us. "If you've got a client like Kate who's going to be photographed as much as she is, to have naturally beautiful hair is great."

Ward describes Kate's blowout as "a natural Chelsea blow-dry," which can be best achieved by starting with hair that's 80 percent wet (to get all the frizz out), a good blow dryer with a concentrator nozzle, and a real-bristle brush. "If you rough dry your hair too much, or you throw your head upside down and wave the hairdryer through it, that makes it go frizzy," says Ward.

"Anyone with long hair should have it trimmed regularly," says Ward. "Also get a deep conditioning treatment every six weeks or so to keep it healthy. I like our Richard Ward Couture Hair Silk Protein Masque."
