While Vanessa (Minnillo) Lachey isn't due with her and hubby Nick Lachey's first baby for six months, her maternal instincts are already in full swing!
The pregnant star went for a stroll in Encino, Calif. Friday with her pooch, Wookie. But rather than letting the little guy lead the way on a leash, he got the deluxe treatment and was carried by his mama instead.
Clad in bootcut jeans, a peasant blouse, platform sandals and a "Lachey" nameplate necklace, the Wipeout host cuddled her pooch while holding him during their outing.
On March 5, Nick confirmed their happy news during his appearance on Live! With Kelly.
"She was in New York and I was in the Bahamas," Nick, 38, explained to host Kelly Ripa of discovering the big news. "She went to the store and got a pregnancy test and it came back positive. We're having a baby! This is the one thing that more than any other I've looked forward to, and it's overwhelming."
Later that day, Vanessa, 31, was over-the-moon excited about their new addition.
"Finally, Nick and I are ready to share our news…We have been blessed with a little Angel! We can't wait to meet Baby Lachey!!!" she tweeted.
